SAP S/4HANA Change Manager
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Change Manager to lead and manage the organizational change activities associated with the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of change management principles, proven experience with large-scale SAP transformations, and the ability to guide the business through the complexities of this transformation.
This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence across all levels of the organization, and a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate resistance to change while ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy that supports the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with business goals and minimizing disruption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring effective communication, buy-in, and alignment on change initiatives.
- Impact Assessment: Conduct detailed change impact assessments to understand how the S/4HANA transformation will affect business processes, roles, and technology usage across the organization.
- Change Communication: Design and implement targeted communication plans to effectively articulate the vision, benefits, and impacts of the transformation to various stakeholder groups.
- Training & Enablement: Work closely with training teams to develop a structured training program that prepares employees for the transition to S/4HANA, including hands-on training, e-learning, and workshops.
- Resistance Management: Proactively identify potential resistance points and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring smooth adoption of the new SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Change Champions Network: Establish and manage a network of change champions across the organization to support the transformation, communicate updates, and provide feedback on the change process.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on the effectiveness of change management efforts, using metrics such as user adoption rates, training completion, and stakeholder feedback to make continuous improvements.
• Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with the SAP S/4HANA project teams to ensure change management activities are aligned with project timelines and deliverables, integrating change management into the overall project plan.
• Cultural Alignment: Ensure that all change management activities are in line with the organization's culture, values, and long-term business strategy, fostering a positive transformation experience.
Key Requirements:
• Change Management Expertise:
- 7+ years of experience in managing change for large-scale IT or business transformation projects, with at least 3 years focused on SAP projects.
- Proven experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations or other large-scale ERP transformations.
• SAP Understanding: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA modules and the impacts of migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA on business processes and technology usage.
• Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages tailored to different stakeholder groups.
• Training & Adoption: Experience designing and implementing training and adoption programs for end-users in complex organizational environments.
• Change Management Tools: Proficiency in using change management tools and methodologies such as Prosci's ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Process, or similar frameworks.
• Organizational Impact Analysis: Strong ability to assess the impacts of change on business functions and to develop targeted interventions to address those impacts.
• Project Collaboration: Experience working within large project teams, aligning change management activities with technical project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Change Management Certification: Prosci, APMG, or other formal change management certifications are highly desirable.
• SAP Certification: SAP-related certifications (particularly in S/4HANA) would be an advantage.
• Project Management Understanding: Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile is a plus.
• Industry Experience: Experience working in industries undergoing large-scale digital transformations, such as manufacturing, retail, finance, or pharmaceuticals.
