SAP S/4HANA PMO - Contractor
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced SAP S/4HANA PMO Manager to support and oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) for our SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP project management, a deep understanding of the S/4HANA ecosystem, and a proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects.
The SAP S/4HANA PMO will be responsible for ensuring project governance, tracking project deliverables, managing risks, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders across the business. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, coupled with high emotional intelligence (EQ), are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Governance: Establish and maintain robust project governance processes for the SAP S/4HANA transformation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and scope.
• Program Management: Manage the overall program roadmap and support cross-functional project teams to deliver key milestones for the S/4HANA implementation.
• Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and task assignments while ensuring proper resource allocation across teams.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact between project teams and key business stakeholders, facilitating regular communication, status updates, and issue resolution.
• Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks, escalate issues, and coordinate mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or disruptions.
• Progress Tracking & Reporting: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and provide regular reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and areas requiring attention.
• Change Control: Ensure that changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources are properly reviewed, approved, and communicated.
• Budget Management: Oversee the financial management of the project, ensuring all activities are delivered within the approved budget, and provide regular cost reports and forecasts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical and functional teams across different business units to ensure seamless execution and integration of project activities.
• Best Practices & Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain PMO best practices, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with industry standards and methodologies.
Key Requirements:
• SAP Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in SAP project management, ideally with a focus on SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Familiarity with key S/4HANA modules (e.g., Finance, Controlling, Sales, Materials Management, Production).

Project Management Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale SAP projects, including migration and implementation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of SAP project lifecycle methodologies such as SAP Activate, ASAP, or similar.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage with senior business leaders and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Reporting & Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise project updates and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Change Management: Experience in supporting change management activities to ensure organizational readiness for the S/4HANA migration.
• Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, SAP Solution Manager) for scheduling, reporting, and tracking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
- SAP Certification: SAP certification in S/4HANA or other relevant modules is preferred.
- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with budgeting and cost management for large-scale IT projects.

Industry Experience: Prior experience in industries undergoing digital transformation (e.g., manufacturing, retail, finance) is advantageous.
