Collibra Data Governance Developer (Contractor)
Job Description:
Contango, a leading Data and AI-focused business under ADQ, is looking for an experienced Collibra Data Governance Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role will focus on developing and customizing Collibra solutions to optimize our data governance processes and ensure seamless integration with enterprise data systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra and the ability to implement end-to-end solutions that enhance data quality, cataloging, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collibra Development:
- Develop Collibra solutions for end-user reporting, data quality tooling, and data catalog tooling.
- Create and manage communities, sub-communities, and domains, along with various asset types such as business, technology, data, and governance assets.
- Establish relationships within and between datasets, applications, systems, and processes.
- Configure facilities for reference data management and hierarchy management.
- Develop APIs (REST, SOAP) to expose metadata functionalities to end-users.
- Workflow Customization:
- Customize, load, and configure workflows based on business needs.
- Configure application UI screens, validations, and custom style sheets to display customized forms.
- Data Integration:
- Collaborate with colleagues and business stakeholders to determine optimal integration of business operations into Collibra.
- Create catalogs by discovering new data sources and harvesting existing ones in Collibra.
- Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, system issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Candidate Profile
- Experience and Skills:
- Collibra Expertise: Previous experience with Collibra is essential.
- Data Governance: Experience setting up data governance, metadata management, and data catalog solutions, particularly on Azure and Databricks platforms.
- Data Variety: Experience working with a wide variety of data types (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) and data sources.
- International Standards: Knowledge of designing a data governance platform to comply with international standards.
- Integration Skills: Experience in integrating various applications and systems, including developing APIs, creating workflows, and setting up roles, responsibilities, and controls.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Java, scripting (Groovy), and web service integration. Experience with file-based, MQ, and HTTP-based integration components.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Collibra certification (Collibra Ranger or similar) is a plus.
This role is a contract role, offshore, part-time for 4 months.
